LITERAL MEANING: He who doesn’t cry, doesn’t get breastfed.
ACTUAL MEANING: You have to ask for something in order to get it.

En boca cerrada no entran moscas
LITERAL MEANING: Flies don’t enter open mouths.
ACTUAL MEANING:
Gossiping always brings problems.

Hierba mala, nunca muere
LITERAL MEANING: Bad weeds never die.
ACTUAL MEANING: Bad things are much hrder to get rid of than good.

Hombre casado, ni frito ni asado
LITERAL MEANING: Married men? Not fried or grilled.
ACTUAL MEANING: I don’t go out with married men.

Músico pagado no toca bien
LITERAL MEANING: An already paid musician doesn’t play well .
ACTUAL MEANING: Paying for a service upfront leads to disappointment.
